Prostějov - The leadership of the city of Prostějov wants to discover the original form of the park modifications of Heroes of the Fallen Square and U Kalicha, which, along with Erbenova Street, are undergoing extensive reconstruction. It therefore calls on the public to provide or lend historic photographs or plans of the locations to the town hall. They want to learn from them and may present the materials at a separate exhibition or in the local press, said Deputy Mayor of Prostějov Pavel Drmola today to ČTK.

"We do not have historical documents that would confirm how the park modifications in both places looked like. We want to discover the appearance of the square from about 80 years ago. Not everything will be applicable to today's times, but some clever elements that our ancestors devised could perhaps be implemented," Drmola stated.
The city is collaborating with the Prostějov Museum and the State District Archive. However, they would also like to use old photographs, images, or sketches of the two squares, which are stored by the residents of the city and other eyewitnesses. "The materials already obtained are very interesting, so we are considering publishing them in a series in the local press or possibly organizing an exhibition," Drmola explained.
The reconstruction is spread over two years. This year, the city plans to repair Erbenova Street, which connects the squares.
