Prague - The City Development Authority (ÚRM) will re-display the draft of the new zoning plan for Prague during the summer holidays. Dozens of drawings will return to the Development Information Center in Škodův palác on Jungmannova Street, the press department of the Prague City Hall informed ČTK today.
"Due to the great interest of citizens, we decided to re-display the draft zoning plan so that people can familiarize themselves with it and find out what changes may occur in their vicinity in the coming years," said the director of ÚRM, Bořek Votava.
From June 1 to the end of August, the texts of the mandatory part and justification, as well as a complete assessment of the impact on sustainable development for the entire area of Prague, will be on display. Interested parties will see drawings at a scale of 1:10000 on dozens of panels.
The draft of the new zoning plan was already displayed in Škodův palác last November. Residents of Prague were able to submit objections and comments on the draft. About 16,000 objections have been recorded, and new comments can only be submitted during the discussion of the proposal.
The last zoning plan of the city dates back to 1999, and thousands of requests for changes have been submitted since then. The new zoning plan is expected to come into effect in 2012 and will be valid for about 15 years.
