Prague - The capital city will publish the assignment of the new metropolitan land use plan on the internet on Friday. Today, Deputy Mayor Tomáš Hudeček (TOP 09) told journalists. The assignment is the first phase in the preparation of the new land use plan. In the next two weeks, this document will also be sent to the city districts, which will then have two weeks to comment on the proposal.

"Tomorrow (on Friday) is 'D-day', we are starting the discussion of the assignment of the metropolitan land use plan," Hudeček said. For the city districts and the public, the metropolis is preparing a seminar on Friday to present the document.
According to Hudeček, the assignment of the new land use plan is exclusively a text document that does not contain any maps and largely derives from the building code. City districts will be able to submit comments on the assignment, which the city will address. Hudeček expects that the city council could approve the assignment in September. After that, the city will begin to develop the next phase of the metropolitan land use plan.
In June, the city council agreed to the preparation of the metropolitan land use plan. The new plan, which is overseen by architect Roman Koucký, is intended to be simpler and will only set the maximum burden on the area. According to TOP 09, this will limit the space for corruption.
