Prague - Prague will prepare about seventy more significant changes to the zoning plan, requested by the city districts. The changes are intended to allow, for example, the expansion of Vienna Street, clarification of the route of the Prague Ring Road, extension of the tram line to Jižní Město, as well as residential construction in Jinonice and Bubeneč. The Prague councilors agreed to start the preparations today, spokesperson for the magistrate Tereza Krásenská told ČTK. Some citizens disagree with certain changes. The intention still needs to be approved by the city council. The city districts have sent several hundred proposals, from which the city has so far selected about 75. If the material is also approved by the city council, the magistrate will begin processing the changes. Prague 4 proposes changes that include a collection yard in Hodkovičky and the expansion of busy Vienna Street. The fifth city district advocates, among other things, for the change of unused land for a campsite in Motol to land for sports facilities, the expansion of the Motol golf course, and a new layout of the Smíchov port. Prague 6 wants to create a park in Hanspaulka, but also supports the construction of family houses in Břevnov, residential construction in Bubeneč, and the establishment of a care center in Ruzyně. The changes should also enable residential construction in Střížkov, in Hrdlořezy, in the area of the former Tebas paint factory in Vysočany, and in Stodůlky. Additionally, plans include the construction of an administrative complex in Roztyly, a high-rise building on the border of Vysočany and Hloubětín, or a recreational and sports center in Modřany. The proposals also concern possible expansions of cemeteries in Nebušice, Slivenec, and Zličín, and the construction of a fire station in Zbraslav. The city district of Troja could see significant changes, proposing the creation of a water sports park, a parking lot, and a new administrative building for the zoo management. Some changes involve the clarification of transport construction routes, for example, parts of the Prague Ring Road from Ruzyně to Suchdol and further to Březiněves. Another proposal should allow the expansion of the current ring road at Černý Most. Representatives of the city districts through which the ring road is to pass have previously opposed these plans. They requested the city to explore other routing options for the ring road. According to the city, however, examining new routes would delay the construction of the ring road by decades.
