Plzeň - Spatial planning documentation, materials from the regions and municipalities with extended competencies, and primarily the spatial plans of cities and municipalities are now published on the portal "Digital Maps of Public Administration of the Plzeň Region." They can be used free of charge by public administration entities, organizations, and citizens. CTK was informed by the Deputy Governor for Regional Development, EU Funds, and Informatics Ivo Grüner (ČSSD). The digital map of public administration is a national project that has been in development since the end of 2008, when the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Regional Development, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Surveying and Mapping Office, the Union of Towns and Municipalities, and the Association of Regions reached an agreement. "The goal is to ensure guaranteed uniform data for consistent performance of public administration agendas in the region, data availability for the public, including entrepreneurs and citizens, the connection of public administration processes and life situations, optimization of public administration services and continuity with European and regional projects," he stated. One of the components of the Digital Map of Public Administration is the project Tools for the Creation and Update of Spatial Analytical Materials. "Its component was the establishment of a regional portal, where information from the field of geodata, thematic map compositions, mapping services, a metadata creation editor, and information on the possibility of providing regional digital data to municipalities, designers, and students is published," Grüner stated. According to him, one of the most interesting user features is the mapping service containing "fully vectorized cadastral map drawing," aerial photographs from 2011, or, for example, the principles of spatial development of the region. Currently, the digital technical map of the region intended for surveyors, network managers, builders, and designers is being completed. Its launch is planned for September.
