In just a few days, starting from Friday, November 9, 2012, you will be able to visit passive houses throughout the Czech Republic. Throughout the weekend, you have the opportunity to ask their residents and builders questions such as "What is it like to live in a passive house?", "How are passive houses built?", and generally anything you are curious about regarding passive houses. From October 9 to 11, 2012, the Passive House Centre is organizing the ninth Days of Passive Houses.

"There are many half-truths, myths, and questions surrounding the topic of passive houses. Allegedly, you can’t even open a window in them, they are overcrowded with modern technologies and many more. If you want to find out what passive houses are really like, how they function, and what to watch out for when building them, come visit next weekend," invites Jana Stará from the Passive House Centre.

During the event, around forty passive houses across the Czech Republic will open their doors.
You can visit already built houses and obtain firsthand information directly from their owners. Take a peek under the hood of passive construction in passive houses that are currently being built. As part of the accompanying program, which will take place at selected houses, you will be able to hear the experiences of their residents, as well as lectures from architects and designers of passive houses, or watch how the construction of a house is happening live.
You can find the complete accompanying program and a list of houses participating in this year's Days of Passive Houses at the website www.pasivnidomy.cz.
