Prague - Interested parties will be able to view the concept of the new territorial plan in the hall and at the information center of the City Development Authority (ÚRM) in the Škodův Palace on Jungmannova Street a week later than initially planned. The deadline has been moved to December 9, inclusive. The reason is a request from the municipal department of urban planning. CTK was informed of this today by Karolína Kudynová from ÚRM. Prague residents can use the displayed concept to see what changes are being planned in the vicinity of their residences and can submit comments and objections. The new territorial plan is supposed to come into effect in 2012 and will be valid for about 15 years. Compared to the current plan, a height and spatial regulation will be a novelty, which should ensure that new buildings do not exceed appropriate capacity and height in relation to their surroundings. According to this regulation, current skyscrapers in Pankrác could not be built. The plan includes, for example, a new metro line D, the development of tram and railway lines. It encompasses the construction of both the city and Prague ring roads, the expansion of the Central Wastewater Treatment Plant, or the tunnel connection between Masaryk and Smíchov railway stations. However, it will also allow for some controversial projects, such as the construction of cable cars to Kavčí Hory and Dívčí Hrady.
