Prague - A mobile sauna will commence operations this evening on the piazza of the National Theatre in Prague. Just like last year, it will offer interested individuals the opportunity to experience relaxation from heat and subsequent cooling in the middle of the city. The sauna will be available to visitors for eleven days from today until January 8, in the evenings, four times each day. "Don't hesitate and try out sauna bathing in the middle of the city. There is no similar theatrical event in the world," invites interested individuals the director of the New Stage, Štěpán Kubišta. People need to bring a towel, bathrobe, sheet, flip-flops, and swimwear. Changing rooms for personal belongings will be available in the basement of the New Stage. The sauna has a capacity of eight people and each group will have 60 minutes. Tickets costing 50 crowns are on sale at the box offices of the New Stage and the National Theatre. The daily capacity of the sauna is approximately thirty-two interested individuals. According to the organizers, it will "float on the pavement" in the middle of the piazza between the buildings of the National Theatre. Last year, they already pointed out that swimwear is necessary; otherwise, this concept could not be carried out in a public place. The floating sauna Josef is actually itinerant. Its concept and realization were made possible by the company H3T Architekti, which installed it last year as part of a studio presentation in the spaces of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. It was then hoisted by a crane onto the roof of the Trafačka Gallery, where it stayed for nearly a month before delighting visitors near the historic building of the National Theatre.
