Mladá Boleslav – Mladá Boleslav is preparing the construction of a riverside bike path, which will include a new footbridge over the Jizera River. The route has five sections with a total length of 1.4 kilometers, and the estimated cost is over 50 million CZK excluding VAT, said Pavel Šubrt from the Mladá Boleslav city hall today on the city's website.
"The city council approved the tender for a public contract through an open sub-threshold procedure. We should start construction this April and expect to complete it in April 2023," said Mayor Raduan Nwelati (ODS).
The city wants to co-finance the project with European funds. The construction will also include a bridge for cyclists and pedestrians next to the current railway bridge.
