Teplice - The people of Teplice will receive a new parking lot in front of the hospital. A total of 131 spaces will be available. The costs for the modification of the area and surroundings are 8.26 million crowns including VAT. This was announced by Krajská zdravotní, under which the Teplice hospital falls.
Many hospitals in the region are dealing with parking problems. In Teplice, the lack of spaces was very noticeable. In front of Building A - the polyclinic, 85 new perpendicular parking spaces and 36 renewed angled spaces in U nemocnice street are now being created.
The construction has been funded by a four million crown grant from the city hall. "The city is not the founder of the hospital, but it is intended for the citizens of Teplice, and we thought it was good to help. As people become wealthier, most do not travel to the hospital by trolleybus, but by car. In this part of the city, there are generally few parking spaces and the area in front of the polyclinic was unused," stated Mayor Jaroslav Kubera (ODS).
The construction in front of the polyclinic does not restrict operations. It is expected to be completed by November. During the reconstruction, parking in free spaces is managed by a member of the hospital's security staff.
The project includes the construction of new sewage systems and will resolve the drainage of the parking lots, new public lighting will be installed, and the revitalization of green areas is also part of the work. The parking lot will be free for visitors to the polyclinic and hospital.
