Kutná Hora - Kutná Hora wants to return cultural and social events to the brewery area. The building office recently prohibited this due to noise. According to Deputy Mayor Josef Viktora (ANO), the city is preparing some measures and is seeking approval from health inspectors. The ban has affected, for example, the popular alternative music festival Creepy Teepee. One of the organizers, Štěpán Bolf, told ČTK today that the organizers have other locations in reserve where the festival could be held. In the unused area, which belongs to the city, three to four events were held annually. The most visited was the multi-day Creepy Teepee festival, which prides itself on its informal atmosphere, spirit of solidarity, and permeation between the audience and performers. According to Bolf, the organizers have officially submitted a rental application for the brewery for this year's edition and are waiting for a response. "At the same time as these uncertainties arose, we started to address some backup options. We do not consider these backup options until we have certainty from Kutná Hora that it can be done there," Bolf stated. He did not specify what alternative spaces are being considered. According to him, they would involve locations not only in Kutná Hora but also in completely different cities. According to Viktora, the brewery can now be officially used for food production, and the city wants to expand this to public spaces for cultural events. "The biggest problem will be obtaining approval from the health inspectors," he stated. According to him, a noise study will have to be prepared, based on which health inspectors will set norms that event organizers will have to comply with. "We would like to potentially use soundproof walls to avoid disturbing residents," the Deputy Mayor added. A question hangs over events regularly held in the park under Vlašský Dvůr in Kutná Hora as well. This year, the park is being renewed, and according to the company that maintains the greenery, the work allegedly cannot be interrupted. Organizers of the Gothic celebration Royal Silvering, which draws thousands of people every year, will have particular difficulty. This event is supposed to move from the park in front of St. Barbara's Cathedral and the Central Bohemian Gallery. Kateřina Vavrušková from the Czech Museum of Silver informed ČTK today that the 24th edition of the Royal Silvering will take place on June 20 and 21 in the extensive area created by linking the gardens of the Jesuit College and the park around Barbara, in agreement with the town hall and the gallery.
