Kutná Hora - Kutná Hora will have a city architect starting in January, whose task will be to oversee the urban development of the city. Petr Janoš, who has previously served as a city architect in Roudnice nad Labem in the Litoměřice region, will take on this role. He succeeded in the selection process, said Deputy Mayor Vít Šnajdr (Pirates) to journalists today.
Eight candidates applied for the position, and according to Šnajdr, Janoš proved to be the most suitable candidate. "He is a person who worked for five years as a city architect in Roudnice nad Labem and is currently active at the Technical University of Liberec," the deputy mayor stated.
The city hall leadership points out that Kutná Hora is listed on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage list. The city architect will be responsible for evaluating any interventions in the historical construction and fine-tuning new projects. His tasks will include overseeing the landscaping around the sports hall, for example.
In Central Bohemia, city architects are found in places such as Kolín, Beroun, Benešov, Mělník, Kladno, and Příbram, among others.
