The Faculty of Arts and Architecture at the Technical University of Liberec is once again participating in the Children's University project this academic year. Faculty educators, along with students from higher years, will lead architecture courses for high school students interested in studying architecture. The aim of the courses is to present contemporary architecture as comprehensively as possible, with connections to history, urban planning, building structures, and fine arts. The teaching will take place regularly at fourteen-day intervals. Each course will be thematically focused with a loose connection to previous courses. The courses also include visits to architecturally valuable buildings in Liberec and its surroundings. The content of the individual courses is not only theoretical, but will also include the participants' own creation in the form of minor artistic tasks. The course is intended for all those interested in architecture; it is not designed as a preparatory course for entrance exams, and most of the costs are covered by the Liberec Region. Registration for the courses begins on September 1, 2016, and the participation fee is 2500 CZK for the entire year.
