Kladno - The Kladno tower houses are set to undergo renovations in the coming years, although the extent of the work has yet to be determined, as the city is assessing the condition of the buildings. The investment will likely amount to hundreds of millions of crowns. This was stated by Kladno spokesperson Štěpánka Filipová in response to an inquiry. The six buildings belong to the city and are designated as a cultural heritage site.

According to the spokesperson, experts are currently assessing the current state of their damage, including issues with the peeling plaster. "According to current information, it appears that the repair of all the tower houses will require costs in the range of several hundred million crowns," Filipová stated. Only after a precise analysis is completed will the city estimate the costs and seek funding sources, such as grants, that could partially cover the repairs. Therefore, the start date for the work has not yet been determined.

The Kladno tower houses, with 13 floors, were built in the 1950s based on the designs of architects Josef Havlíček, Karel Filsak, and Karel Bubeníček. After 2000, the city secured the buildings structurally and carried out repairs such as upgrading utilities and replacing windows. The investments reached tens of millions of crowns.
