K. Vary - Karlovy Vary will invest almost half a million crowns this year into the renovation of two viewpoints. With the support of the Karlovy Vary Region, they will renovate the so-called Czech Seat on the rocky terrace below the Imperial Hotel and the Bellevue gazebo on the Execution Hill. This was reported by Helena Kyselá, spokesperson for the Karlovy Vary city council, to ČTK. The total cost of the repairs will be nearly half a million crowns. "In the case of the Czech Seat, it will be a complete reconstruction of the structure; essentially, a new object will be created according to historical documents. The renovation will be carried out by Roman Klouček, who uses traditional and historical methods when working with wood,” said Kyselá. The entire structure will be installed in place by December 15 of this year at the latest. The cost of the repair is 213,000 crowns, with the region contributing 25,000 crowns. Klouček will also renovate the Bellevue gazebo this year. Its renovation will cost 283,000 crowns, of which 80,000 will be covered by a grant from the Karlovy Vary Region. The wooden posts and benches will be repaired and painted, the roof will undergo renovation, and the surrounding area of the gazebo on Execution Hill will be improved. The work will be completed by the end of November. The wooden colonnade gazebo Bellevue was built in the autumn of 1834 on a hill northeast of the spa center of Karlovy Vary. In 1885, it was dismantled due to its poor condition and rebuilt. At the end of the 20th century, it underwent a complete renovation.
