Karlovy Vary - The city of Karlovy Vary will offer another property for sale in the center. After the former police headquarters under the Thermal hotel, it wants to sell the Titania villa next to the Becher villa. The house with the land will be offered through an auction. Just like the former police headquarters, the Titania villa was acquired by the city as historical property, said Michal Riško (ČSSD), Deputy Mayor, to ČTK.
"The city acquired the Titania villa, which is now unused and its interior spaces are in poor condition. We have decided to sell it, and the lowest price will be set at 26 million crowns according to the assessment," said Riško.
The villa was previously used by the diplomatic service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which also wanted to sell it. However, it was later acquired by the city as a historical asset. Although the city received an offer to exchange the villa for other land from a private owner, it first wants to try selling it at auction, which could yield more.
However, the plan may not succeed. The city has been attempting to sell the former police headquarters building on I. P. Pavlova Street through auction for several times. According to city information, two potential buyers are interested in it, but it is uncertain whether they will eventually register for the auction.
