Brno - The development company Domoplan from the Fipox group will build a thirteen-story residential building in the shape of an ellipse in the Brno district of Komárov, between Černovická and Tuháčkova streets. It will contain 80 apartments and commercial spaces on the ground floor. The developer announced in a press release that it has obtained a zoning permit for the Zanzara project and plans to start construction next year.
The building will be situated on a lot in close proximity to an elementary school, which has been unused since 2011, essentially a brownfield. "The site has been neglected for a long time in recent years. The forgotten history of this place is very interesting, as there used to be a mill here that was demolished in 2011. In collaboration with architects, we want to breathe new life into the place, referencing its past," said Tomáš Vavřík, the CEO of Domoplan.
The building, which will cost 705 million crowns to construct, will have 80 premium apartments ranging from 1+kk to 4+kk, each with its own balcony, while the apartments on the top floor will feature spacious terraces.
"The architecture should evoke a light and bright object with its white color, opening up with terraces to the sun and the views of the city or to the south of the city with views extending as far as Pálava. The tower-like character creates an unmistakable corner accent and its elliptical floor plan and light color lighten the overall expression of the building. The generous design of the terraces allows for recreational use and the placement of abundant greenery,” described the project its authors, architects from Atelier RAW.
In addition to apartments and commercial spaces, the building will have 110 covered parking spaces on an elevated platform. The location where the building will rise is near the intersection of the busy roads Černovická and Svatopetrská.
Developer Domoplan is currently planning or constructing eight projects in Brno.
