Brno – The development company Crestyl has presented the future appearance of the space on Dornych street in Brno, where the former department store Prior, later Tesco, is located.

"A new square lined with six separate buildings will be created on the site of the current shopping center. The entire area will be connected to the street network and the underpass beneath the train station, and in the future, after the relocation of the main train station, also to the system of city parks on the site of the current railway yard,” the company stated. The completion of the entire project is expected in approximately five years. The main architect is the Polish architectural studio MTDI led by Marek Tryzybowicz.

The area encompasses the entire space of the shopping center building and the adjacent surroundings towards the railway line to the north and the hardware store building on Uhelná Street to the west, including the parking lot. For this reason, the project includes underground parking.

The building currently operates as the Dornych Shopping Center. According to Crestyl, all spaces are leased. Tesco has already vacated two-thirds of the space. Crestyl is actively involved in the development of more than 15 locations across the Czech Republic with a total investment value exceeding 1.2 billion euros (31 billion CZK).
