Prague - The development company Amádeus Real has refused to agree to the termination of contracts with the Railway Infrastructure Administration (SŽDC) regarding the future purchase of land near the Dejvice train station in Prague. CTK was informed today by the spokesperson for the railway administration, Kateřina Šubová. The developer confirmed receipt of the response without further details. The state organization wants to continue negotiations with the company. In the past, SŽDC agreed with the company on the future sale of land without a public tender, but now the state organization wants to cancel the contracts.
At the end of November, the Railway Administration called on the developer to negotiate mutual withdrawal from the purchase contracts. According to the CEO of the organization, Jiří Svoboda, they were concluded prematurely.
"Amádeus Real stated in its letter that it does not believe it would be appropriate to terminate the executed contracts and expresses the conviction that the contracts provide legal certainty for both parties and are the basis for further cooperation, which the company is ready for," Šubová described the content of the letter.
For the railway administration, nothing changes; the goal remains to cancel the contract. According to Šubová, the organization will thus continue to negotiate with the developer.
Karel Samec, the media representative of Amádeus Real, confirmed the developer's response but did not wish to comment on its content. However, according to him, the company does not oppose further negotiations with SŽDC.
The purchase contract, which anticipates the sale of land to Amádeus Real no later than 2030, was signed by Svoboda's predecessor Pavel Surý. At that time, the state enterprise closed the contract with Amádeus Real without a public tender. According to both parties, the contract calls for the price of the land to be determined at the time of the transaction with the help of expert assessments so that it corresponds to the prices of surrounding land.
The land near the Dejvice station is crucial for SŽDC due to the planned route from Prague to Kladno. The railway manager plans to run the track in a tunnel under the land, which should proceed from the Dejvice station to the station in Prague's Veleslavín. However, the exact form of the tunnel layout has not yet been decided.
