The Czech Chamber of Architects published the collection "Copyright in Architecture" in September of this year. The issue of copyright is becoming increasingly relevant, and not only architects are forced to address the growing number of legal disputes. Given that there is currently no adequate interpretation of contentious events either in the Czech Republic or in other European countries, the CCA decided to fill this gap. The collection contains texts from all eight speakers who presented at the conference organized by the CCA on April 3, 2009, in Brno. Leading experts on copyright issues in our country and abroad, Jan Kříž, Jiří Plos, Jan Sapák, Ivo Telec, Winfried Bullinger (Germany), Regina Gonthier (Switzerland), Thomas Höhne (Austria), Anne-Marie Bellenger-Beaud (France) summarize the legislation in this area in their respective countries and also present specific cases that have been the subject of legal disputes. Among other things, the issues of the appropriation of works at its various stages, alteration of works, representation of architecture, rights of owners and architects, and the inheritance of copyright are highlighted. The collection is supplemented by a brief record of the discussion and also selected provisions of the Czech Copyright Act and other related regulations. The publication is available for all authorized architects free of charge (in September, it was mailed to all members), and other interested parties can purchase it at the CCA office in Prague (Josefská 34/4) and Brno (Starobrněnská 16/18) for 100 CZK (including VAT).
