Chrudim - After three times canceling the tender for the developer of the urban plan, the Chrudim City Hall finally has companies that will create the document necessary for the future development of the city. The chosen firms are the Brno companies Ateliér Urbi and Ageris, said Chrudim spokesperson Sylva Drašnarová. The city will have to wait about four years for the new urban plan. The association of Brno companies was originally excluded from the last tender, as they had not processed an urban plan for a municipality with more than 15,000 inhabitants in the last three years, as stated in the competition conditions. "The companies later raised objections against the decision, and after consulting with a specialized company, the city management found that they had indeed processed an urban plan that projected an increased population of one city above the required threshold. The council therefore acknowledged the objection," Drašnarová stated. The new document is expected to cost Chrudim according to the results of the competition 3.332 million crowns. Chrudim had difficulties issuing the tender for the urban plan for a long time. Initially, according to the city management, the competition had overly general conditions, and there was no opportunity for a second round in which the evaluation committee could hear the narrower group of interested parties. In the spring of 2006, Chrudim City Hall had to cancel the competition to create the urban plan for the second time when one of the companies was unjustly excluded by the officials due to a clerical error, as they submitted the registry extract in a different format than usual. The company appealed, and the city decided to repeat the tender. For the third time, the city canceled the tender this July when none of the participating companies met the conditions of the assignment.
