Brno - Next year, Brno will again allocate 20 million crowns for residents to build green roofs and collect rainwater. Jaroslav Suchý (KDU-ČSL), the Deputy Mayor, said this today to ČTK. Applications will be accepted from February 1 to October 31. The city first announced both grant programs in 2019.

The programs were discussed by the councilors and subsequently by the city representatives. "Both grant programs are functioning effectively in practice, as evidenced by the number of applications and positive feedback from applicants. Therefore, nothing fundamentally changes in the call for 2023," said Suchý.

People can submit applications next year from February to the end of October, exclusively electronically through the Grantys program on the relevant website. More information will also be available during December on the website regarding ecological grants.

In the grant program to support the construction of green roofs, over 220 projects have been completed so far, to which the city contributed more than 34 million crowns. The grant program for the use of rainwater has been utilized by over 110 applicants, to whom the city distributed nearly 1.9 million crowns.
