Mining Museum in Bochum by Benthem Crouwel

The Dutch office Benthem Crouwel published a report on November 6 on its website about its victory in the competition for the expansion of the Mining Museum in Bochum. The museum itself will officially announce the competition results on November 30, 2006. The expansion of the industrial building from the 1930s is set to provide space for exceptional exhibitions and the presentation of achieved research. The winning project features a three-story black cube, which is intertwined with a large-glazed orange corridor like a snake. The new building is connected to the existing museum by a glass bridge.
