Prague - The complex of five Baroque palace gardens in Malá Strana will be expanded by the Great Fürstenberg Garden, whose extensive reconstruction has been completed by the capital city as its owner. The operators want to connect the existing five state-owned palace gardens with the newly opened garden so that visitors will not notice the difference between the owners. The Great Fürstenberg Garden will be ceremoniously opened on Friday. The garden, which has been inaccessible for decades and was one of the most beautiful in the metropolis, has been under renovation since the autumn of 2006, costing over 165 million crowns. However, part of the garden had already been repaired before 2006, and it is used by the Polish embassy.
