Břeclav - A miniature park representing all approximately 20 architectural monuments of the Lednice-Valtice area is to be built in Břeclav by the next summer season. The project will be financed by the local municipality, which is ready to allocate around ten million crowns for it. Perfectly crafted miniatures of the buildings are to be set up outdoors in the park of the Břeclav Castle. "In the coming days, we will announce a tender for the supplier of this project," said Dalibor Neděla, the secretary of the Břeclav municipality, to ČTK today. The detailed computer visualization that will serve as the template will be more challenging than producing copies of the buildings. Břeclav is the gateway to the Lednice-Valtice area. With the project, it aims to create a new tourist attraction and at the same time attract visitors to the castle park, which is under renovation. The Lednice-Valtice area covers 185 square kilometers. It is a landscape full of monuments and ponds designed in the English style. The area was created by members of the noble family of Liechtenstein. It has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1997. In addition to the renowned castles in Lednice and Valtice, there are about 20 other extraordinary historical buildings. These include the Obelisk, the Minaret serving as an observation tower, the romantic ruins of Janohrad, the Rajstna colonnade, and many other structures. The idea for the construction of a miniature park came from Břeclav's mayor Dymo Piškula after visiting Břeclav's partner city of Andrychów in Poland, where a similar park with miniature buildings is located. The most famous miniature park is in Brussels. In the Mini Europe park, there are miniatures of significant buildings from the continent in the Belgian capital. Each of the European Union countries has its own "representation" in it. It features 300 objects rendered in meticulous detail. In the Czech Republic, a collection of miniatures of significant buildings can be seen in Ostrava.
