Architecture in Perspective 2019 - Invitation to the 11th Annual Conference

Conference of the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Civil Engineering VŠB-TU in Ostrava held on October 2 - 3, 2019 in hall NA2 at the New Aula of the VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava

Dear colleagues, we have the pleasure to invite you for the tenth time to an international and interdisciplinary conference dedicated to architecture and urbanism.
The organizers aim to continue the discussion on the relationship between society and architecture and urbanism. Representatives from fields other than architecture are also welcome to present their contributions, thereby opening up space for further questions. Articles from the social sciences, economics, geography, construction, and other fields can be submitted.
The purpose of the conference is to seek and evaluate the current state of knowledge of architecture with the shortest history, not only from the perspective of different disciplines but also through experiences from various countries with their differing developments and approaches.
Contributions will be published in a printed proceedings with an ISBN, which will be sent for evaluation to the Web of Science (volumes from 2015, 2016, 2017 have been included in WoS, and we have not yet received information about the inclusion of 2018 in WoS)

Topics of contributions may relate to the following areas:
1. Theory and philosophy of architectural design
2. Urbanism and public space
3. Contemporary architecture of housing, civic amenities, and civil engineering
4. Heritage conservation, restoration, and conversion of objects and architectural complexes
5. Rural space and rural architecture
6. Ecological aspects in architecture
7. Trends and technologies in architecture

Registration fees:
Participant with publication in the proceedings: 900 CZK + 450 CZK / 1 standard page of text (standard page = 1800 characters) + 10 small images
Participant without publication in the proceedings: 900 CZK
Participation in the conference as a co-author: 900 CZK
Commercial presentation (15 minutes): 5000 CZK

A) Presentation at the conference with publication in the proceedings
Please send abstracts of contributions (150 - 250 words) to: architekturavperspektive@vsb.cz by May 31, 2019.
You will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection of your contribution by June 14, 2019. The organizers reserve the right to reject the proposed contribution.
Final texts (in Czech, Slovak, Polish, or English) + 2 reviews must be sent no later than July 31, 2019, according to the instructions received via email upon acceptance of the abstract.

B) Presentation at the conference without publication in the proceedings
Please send abstracts of contributions (max. 300 words) to: architekturavperspektive@vsb.cz by July 31, 2019.
You will receive a notification of acceptance/rejection of your contribution by August 14, 2019. The organizers reserve the right to reject the proposed contribution.

Additional fees:
Proceedings additionally 300 CZK (authors automatically receive 1 copy of the proceedings included in the registration fee)
Social evening 500 CZK (can be paid on site)

The working languages of the conference will be Czech, Slovak, Polish, and English.
