Paris - The first floor of the Eiffel Tower will be undergoing reconstruction starting from spring next year, which aims to significantly modernize this part of the tower. An unprecedented innovation is the architects' intention to glaze the floor adjacent to the open space between its four pillars.

The renovation is expected to last a year and a half according to the Paris city hall and will cost around 25 million euros (over 620 million crowns). The floor, which has gradually lost its appeal, is intended to attract visitors with a new and attractive architectural design. Renewable sources have also been taken into account - electricity will be generated by four solar panels and four wind turbines.
The Eiffel Tower is the most famous monument in Paris and a symbol of the city. It welcomes over six million visitors each year. It is also accessible in the evening hours.
