Hospitalized Oscar Niemeyer wants to work again

Rio de Janeiro - World-renowned Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, who was hospitalized last week, wants to leave the hospital as soon as possible and return to his work. The AFP agency reported today, citing medical sources, that the condition of the 104-year-old architect is stable.
     "I am already like on pins and needles to return home to work," said the co-creator of the Brazilian metropolis in a text message.
      His wife Vera, whom he married six years ago, and his grandson Kadu visit him in the hospital every day. Niemeyer was hospitalized with pneumonia and dehydration.
     "I feel good, but I want to leave the hospital as soon as possible to focus on my projects. One of them is a new restaurant Porcao in Rio, and another is a new edition of my magazine Nosso Caminho (Our Path)," the message read.
     Oscar Niemeyer has completed over 600 projects worldwide and has another twenty underway in various countries.
