This year we celebrate 20 years of the competition for young architects and urban planners under 40, organized by the European Federation of National Civil Associations EUROPAN. This is the jubilee 10th edition of the competition organized in a two-year cycle. The Czech Republic has hosted four editions at five competition sites in Prague and Plzeň. Unfortunately, this year it was not possible to obtain any Czech or Moravian city for the organization of the competition; however, local architects can compete in 62 locations across Europe.
To commemorate past editions and to enhance the awareness of Czech architects, the Czech committee of EUROPAN, in collaboration with the Department of Urbanism of the Faculty of Civil Engineering at ČVUT in Prague, is organizing a retrospective exhibition of awarded designs: Europan 6 - Prague 5, Smíchov Europan 7 - Prague 8, Libeň - Palmovka Europan 8 - Prague 6, Dejvice - Podbaba - Plzeň, Cukrovarská Europan 9 - Prague 6, Dejvické nádraží - Hradčanská
The exhibition will be on display from March 10 to March 20 in the atrium of the FSv building at ČVUT, Thákurova 7, Prague 6.
The exhibition opening with the participation of the leadership of Europan CZ, representatives of FSv ČVUT, and invited representatives of public administration and the professional community will take place on March 10, 2009, at 10 a.m.
