One of the most frequented public spaces in Brno is the so-called "forecourt." This overloaded area, full of barriers and conflicts, creates a stressful environment that tens of thousands of people navigate every day. In response to the lack of a calming resting space, students from the Faculty of Architecture at the Brno University of Technology have created a temporary pavilion installation. It serves as a gallery where passersby can become acquainted with the original designs by students aimed at solving this space, as well as an oasis of tranquility in the midst of the frenetically pulsating transportation hub.

The construction of the pavilion took place in the courtyard of the Faculty of Architecture as part of a student workshop.
The main focus of the pavilion will be an exhibition of student designs aimed at addressing the "Bermuda Triangle" between the viaduct and the staircase leading up to Josefská street. A wide range of ideas for its use outlines the hidden potential of this so far overlooked area. What if one could come here for culture, sports, or good coffee? Come and refresh yourself with ideas for a friendlier city, or simply spend pleasant moments in a place you wouldn't expect.

Pavilion program:
Installation and inauguration of the pavilion (May 6, inauguration at 6 PM)
Festive opening of student designs (May 15, 6 PM)
Program during City Week (May 12 - 18, current details at www.tydenmesta.cz)
Planned deinstallation of the pavilion (June 19)
The event is sponsored by the FA VUT in Brno. The students' works were created in the miniBrownfields studio under the guidance of architects Jiří Palacký and Pavel Stříteský. The installation of the pavilion is proceeding with the permission of the City of Brno.
