The Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín would like to invite you to the opening of the exhibition New Era - New Life - Interwar Architecture in Luhačovice Spa 1918 - 1948, which will take place on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 5:00 PM in the 1st floor of Building 14.
The exhibition presents the architectural developments in this significant spa town during the interwar period. During this time, a number of interesting buildings were built in Luhačovice by leading Czech architects, such as B. Fuchs, L. Machoň, L. Skřivánek, M. Kopřiva, E. Králík, F. Roith, and O. Poříský. This modern interwar architecture radically changed the spa location. Each remarkable building is presented through photographic and plan documentation, and the exhibition is complemented by a model, a guide map, period articles, publications, and correspondence from the architects. The presented works belong to the cultural heritage not only of our region but also in the nationwide context. The project was realized with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
