The exhibition in the spaces of the Architecture Gallery in Brno will present selected projects of the renowned Warsaw studio JEMS architects completed in recent years. The title of the exhibition highlights the nature of the studio's activities, which always oscillate between the possibilities of broadly understood contexts and the effort to seek out the inherent potential of architecture contained within itself. The buildings designed by JEMS architects emerge from the background and usually blend with it. JEMS resists the targeted creation of objects resembling monuments. However, this does not mean that they only seek architecture with a "neutral" expression (if it even exists). Rather, it is a continuous attempt to realize that regardless of the expression of the objects they design, they are constantly part of the present cultural continuum. The studio is made up of architects with various creative temperaments, but they are all united by an approach to history and the present as a unique living process, albeit very complex and not always understandable. The opening of the exhibition will take place on June 28, 2018, at 6:00 PM in the spaces of the Architecture Gallery in Brno, and the founders of the studio will participate. The exhibition is part of the Archikultura2018 festival organized by the Architecture Cabinet.
