A series of black-and-white photographs documenting the exhibition of architect Zdeněk Fránek "The Intestines of Architecture" from the Brno House of Art at the turn of 2011/12. Originally a photographic documentation, the project evolved to examine Fránek's work with an overlap into the realm of artistic photography.
Pavel Barták(*1984 in Ivančice) 2007 – present | Faculty of Art and Architecture, Technical University of Liberec 2004 – 2006 | Faculty of Architecture, VUT Brno 1996 – 2004 | P. Křížkovský Grammar School with an artistic profile, s.r.o.
He primarily operates in the field of architectural photography and artistic photography. However, he is also interested in other categories of photography, which is why he engages, participates, and collaborates on various projects related to photography. Through the viewfinder of his analog Minolta Maxxum 3xi camera, the author focuses in his shots on the debate of individual substrata of the city with their surroundings, not only through reflections on the surfaces of shiny materials of both exterior and interior walls. He particularly emphasizes the visibility of perspectives that often go unnoticed due to the general haste of civilization. Through his gaze, he tries to capture natural color compositions and thus create a unique style in the field of artistic photography. The series of photographs Fránek's Agitated Space travels from the Boskovice Gallery Otakara Kubína, where it was on display during the spring of 2012.
