"The Gallery of Jaroslav Fragner has hosted numerous significant figures in Czech and world architecture during its existence. The memory of the place is intricate and rich. The main exhibition hall changed its atmosphere according to the character of the exhibited works: from museum displays of suspended archives to playful provocative installations and virtual reality. It stretched according to the necessity of presenting the ideas of leading architects and theorists. The exhibition of Petr and Jan Stolín focuses on expanding the experience of the gallery as a distinctive architecture. Therefore, it concentrates on the very experience of the gallery space: the entrance, movement, and meaning change. The gallery space is not an ephemeral world of architectural ideas; rather, the exhibition aims at its constants: architecture is both the space enclosed by walls and their openings, as well as what makes it more inhabitable, like air conditioning. The cultivated rich memory of architectural ideas is abandoned for the sake of an unusual experience of the usual space. The exhibition is a pause in the gallery space: it does not refer to something that exists elsewhere. It transforms what exists right here."
