In Odolena Voda, a school will be built, the design can be proposed by architects in a competition

Odolena Voda – A new school will be built in the village of Odolena Voda near Prague, and architects can propose its design in a competition. It will serve students from a total of six municipalities, namely Kozomín, Panenské Břežany, Postřižín, Veliká Ves, Úžice, and Odolena Voda. It is expected to have a capacity of 540 students.

The subject of the architectural competition for the design is the solution of a cluster school, which will not only meet and respect the requirements for traditional teaching methods but will also work with new pedagogical approaches to education and modern methods and forms of teaching. Among the requirements for the design are the flexible use of classrooms and shared spaces, including outdoor areas. The design should also consider sustainability and operational efficiency.

The school is to be located on the outskirts of the existing development of Odolena Voda. Because there are valuable landscape elements nearby, the building should blend into the landscape and utilize nature-friendly solutions. A significant number of people have been moving to the districts around Prague for a long time, and the local municipalities often face insufficient capacity in schools and kindergartens.
