The Prague 6 district announces an open competition for a proposal aimed at finding the most suitable architectural and artistic solution for the Monument of the Prague Uprising and the design of the Interbrigade Square. About the competition The subject of the competition is the design of the artistic solution for the Monument of the Prague Uprising, which will serve as a symbolic reminder of a historical event and at the same time express important values and ideals associated with this significant moment in Czech history.
The proposal also includes an architectural-landscape solution for the public space design of the Interbrigade Square. The aim is to create a harmonious environment that connects history, culture, and modern life in the city. The competition is supported by the Art for the City program and offers an opportunity for architects and artists to participate in the process of creating public space.

The deadline for submitting competition proposals in the 1st phase of the competition is September 18, 2023, by 12:00 (noon).Registration in the E-ZAK tool is mandatory for participation in the competition! The client recommends starting the registration process well ahead of the final deadline for submitting competition proposals.

Prizes and awards in the competition 1st prize is set at: 650,000 CZK 2nd prize is set at: 450,000 CZK 3rd prize is set at: 350,000 CZK
Among the participants in the 2nd phase of the competition whose competition proposal does not receive any prize and is not excluded by the client during the evaluation, a total amount of 400,000 CZK will be distributed. The maximum amount for sketching honoraria per participant is set at 200,000 CZK.
