Biography
He has been leading Atelier III at the AAAD in Prague since the fall of 2011. A graduate of Prof. Dušan Kuzma (1983). After returning from a Fulbright Scholarship at Yale University in 1991, he founded the Laboratory of Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. In 1998, he served as a visiting professor at the Rhode Island School of Design. He has lectured and was a critic at Columbia University, Pratt Institute, RICE, Cornell University, CCNY, University of Applied Arts, and Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. He co-organized international architectural events with Daniel Libeskind, Greg Lynn, Monika Mitášová, Marian Zervan, and many others. He collaborated with Jan Tabor and Wolf D. Prix on the WI:BRA project. He focuses on conceptual and visionary architecture, urbanism, installations, and deals with the trends of Central European architecture and Parallel Modernism. He was a co-author of the joint exhibition of the Czech and Slovak Republics at the 7th Venice Biennale of Architecture (2000). He exhibited independently at the Fragner Gallery (2001).
