Project:2015

Area:133 m2

Concept /color /materials - the goal was to create a men's interior, both in terms of color and materials. In the existing space, static adjustments had already been made and the massive steel beams were the right element for the ideal men's industrial style. The placement of these load-bearing elements defined the entire layout of the space. The steel elements were complemented by furniture in natural oak, scratch-plastered walls, and retro flooring.

Layout - the defined space allowed for the separation of individual functions without significant structural interventions. The background is located behind the bar, and there is a toilet accessible from the guest area. The entry area with the bar leads to the main part with armchairs, further separated by a corridor with shelves displaying products and a toilet accessible from it. The last area again features a section with shaving chairs and washing stations.

Bar - is made from massive beams, which have irregular edges. The elevated steel counter conceals the bar operations, while its mass also serves as a footrest. Opposite the bar is an old leather sofa, referencing classic American barbershops.

Shaving Stations - are constructed from two steel girders, onto which a sink is mounted, and between them runs a faucet from the floor. Wooden boards for placing cosmetics are installed on the girders. Outlets for clippers and hairdryers are concealed in the rear edges of the girders. Each shaving station is equipped with a high-quality Sicilian, handcrafted reclining chair in retro design with red leather. The walls behind the mirrors are scraped down to the plaster, and a mirror is always placed across the entire wall. The floors in the shaving area are made of a concrete screed.

Product Corner - the individual shaving areas are separated by a dark corridor that serves to display cosmetic products. From this area, there is a toilet for guests accessible through a glass partition. The surfaces in this part are exposed brick with black paint. Discreet poles are installed in front of the glass partition for hanging coats. The floor in this area features striking geometric retro tiles.
