interior of the shop
Two worlds, two atmospheres...
Drinking tea in the calm of dark arches and selling exceptional flavors in a light, earthy color.
The space of the original shop on Křižíkova Street in Prague's Karlín is conceptually divided by a golden line into two parts, which arches almost through the center of the shop.

The black plaster mixed with charcoal and straw creates an ambient atmosphere, so upon entering, the customer is pulled away from the hustle and bustle of the street and can settle in for a tasting, or focus in the light sales half of the shop on purchasing and presenting teas. Seating under the black arch is accompanied by a charred pillar with a gilded cavity, from which a yellow shining light emerges; it is a small spotlight that embraces the unique atmosphere of each table.

The sales counter and shelves with displayed goods are made of ash planks with exceptional details, such as a tea sea made from inserted sandstone, which is simply put a perforated board on which tea is prepared, and the poured water easily drains from the table without needing to be wiped. The sales counter also has its own light column, being a place not only for selling but also for tasting. Among the subtle details that customers can enjoy upon closer inspection alongside exceptional teas are the charred cover of the scale and the rope handles of the worktop openings.

Refined detail and simple layering are among the main attributes of the entire interior design of Tea Mountain.
