Student Club Na Hollaru

At the beginning of 2013, we were approached by the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and representatives of the Oživme Hollar association to prepare a study for the adaptation of the original garages in the atrium of the Hollar building on Smetanovo nábřeží in Prague. We connected the former garages into one space and maximally opened them to the outdoor area of the atrium with large glazed doors.
The entire project was carried out with limited financial resources with the support of students. We proposed modifications that would disrupt the original appearance of the interior as little as possible and sensitively complemented it with new elements.
For the interior furnishings, we came up with a furniture concept based on pallets, which can be found in various variations throughout the building. For the implementation, we partnered with the entity paletky.cz. In collaboration with them, the students of the faculty produced individual furniture pieces based on our design and supervision.
