"Actually, I remember nature as a balanced environment. After 40 years of my own civilization 'development', more like tumbles, there aren't many childhood memories left. Back to childhood dreams and for our children, at least to preserve in traces! The Biocorridor Dobčice - Záboří is a relatively wild landscape where many species of plants still grow, many species of animals live, and water flows, even if less than before. For rational reasons - water retention in the landscape, natural cultivation of nature, remembering and knowing - as well as for the sake of the soul, for pausing, I decided step by step, as my strength would allow, to realize a nature park."
Jiří Střítecký, June 2008, abridged

"First the first pond, 'Lipanovický', then 'Písařský', then little cabins and animals - fish, ducks and pheasants in the aviary, wild rabbits on the island, an enclosure for Cameroon goats, a buzzard, there were plans for donkeys, an enclosure for deer, more ponds, a lookout tower… Dad always had a close connection to fish and pond farming; even as a little boy, he ran away from school to fish. And it would be best to fish right from the pier, have some wine or beer, and maybe even sleep on the water. The cabins Verunka and Madlenka are each placed on one pond on oak stilts in the middle of the water surface. They have spacious piers and moorings, are equipped with beds, stoves, a kitchenette, and a shower - water is drawn by a hand pump from the pond. On the shore, there is a toilet and a large fire pit. Electricity, in the interest of preserving authenticity, is not installed; the cabin is equipped with solar lamps. A third, final cabin named Jirka is being prepared, which will take the form of a ship's hull plunged into the water."
Jiří Střítecký Jr., May 2013, abridged
