The design of the five-story administrative building on the banks of the Saône River in Lyon is by the French architect of Algerian descent, Rudy Ricciotti. The building serves 130 employees of the consulting agency Acies. In the raised base of the building, there are 54 parking spaces. More than a tenth of the total floor area consists of balconies and loggias around the entire building, topped with a roof terrace of 900 m² offering a unique panoramic view.
The wavy horizontal slabs are made of high-strength concrete reinforced with glass fibers (BFUP/UHPFRC - ultra-high performance fibre-reinforced concrete), which was used in France for the first time in December 2012. The three-centimeter concrete slabs with black pigment ultimately measure more than 16 kilometers. In addition to the outdoor slabs, an existing poplar grove on the southern side also prevents overheating of the building, reaching the height of the building and creating a naturally cooling and shady climate. The entire project meets BREEAM standards with an emphasis on sustainability and the impact of the building on the environment.
