Investor:manželé Kovácsovi
Project:2004
Completion:2005-06

Urban Planning Solution
The house is located on a trapezoidal plot (560 m²) which it divides into two parts. The part facing the street is defined as an ornamental garden. The quiet relaxation area of the garden is situated in the northwest part of the plot, where sufficient privacy can be found.
The house is visually and operationally connected on the ground floor to both parts of the garden. A covered parking space for two cars and a storage room are located in the corner of the front garden by the gable of the neighboring house.

Architectural and Layout Solution
The house is divided into two parts. The main mass is two-story and is designed in a rectangular plan. The second part is single-story and forms a kind of "neck" between the main mass and the gable of the neighboring house.
Access to the house is designed through the southern garden. The entrance hall and lobby form the communication core of the house, from which one can continue to the back part of the garden, to the "neck" with a bathroom and a study (guest room), or to the living areas of the house. On the ground floor of the living area, there are the kitchen, dining room, and living room, which are spaces for daily activities. The quiet part of the house on the upper floor is accessible via a staircase located between the dining room and the living room. On the upper floor, there are children's rooms, a bedroom, a playroom, and a bathroom with access to the terrace.
The facade is made of solid wooden boards, the roof is made of cement-bonded fiber corrugated sheets or asphalt with gravel, and the railings are hot-dip galvanized.
