Family house in Nouzov, near Prague

Traditional two-story family house for a five-member family on a slightly sloping plot on the edge of a quiet development of original cottages, weekend villas, and family homes. The original holiday cottage did not meet the investor's intentions either in layout or construction, and was removed. Only its dominant feature remained on the plot, an amazing mature beech tree. The new house is partially basement, designed in a traditional form with a gable roof as a longitudinal single tract. The house is situated parallel to the access road, oriented towards the garden. It is entered through a covered passage on the ground floor, visually linking the entrance from the street with the garden. The ground floor houses the living area, while the upper floor consists of bedrooms connected by a large eastern terrace, cut into the roof. The covered terrace on the ground floor connects the living room with the tiled stove to the garden, directly opposite the mature beech tree that provides a unique view and pleasant shade in the summer.
