A very rationally composed family house in Lysá nad Labem is situated on a relatively cramped plot in a newly emerging suburb. The client approached us based on a personal visit to a family house in Vrané nad Vltavou. The brief mainly consisted of requirements for an uncomplicated construction, maintenance, and a moderate layout for a family of four. The client did not hide his economic education. The proposed family house was to be a reflection of his clear approach to living:
“The house must serve us, not we serve the house.” The expressive division of the southern facade reflects the internal arrangement. The strict layout is fully functional and offers comfortable internal spaces for the size of the house.
The volume of the house is conceptually divided into three parts – blocks. The living part dominates, to which the mass of the garage is attached along with a wooden structure of the pergola over the terrace. The simple construction solution and details of the building are traditionally resolved.
