Family house in Jirčany

Family house in Jirčany
Address: K Lůžku 459, Dolní Jirčany, Czech Republic
Project:1999-2000
Completion:2001-02
Built Up Area:208 m2
Built Up Space:1148 m3

The family house is positioned on a gentle southern slope toward the Záhořanský stream. The living rooms open into the garden onto a wooden terrace. The facilities concentrated along the northern entrance facade are relatively enclosed and equipped with a heated terracotta floor. The other floors are wooden.
The facade is made of Jirčanský facing brick, and the ceramic roof is cascaded. The wooden terrace with a pergola will be shaded in summer by colorful canvases.
The entire building is organized around a spacious two-story hall, which on the ground floor connects to two living rooms and a strip of facilities. In the attic, there are two bedrooms connected by a gallery with an en-suite.
The fence facing the street, like the carport, is made of exposed concrete, while the gates and wicket are wooden.
The house serves a family with two children and has a separately accessible studio apartment.
Unfortunately, the surrounding development currently being constructed is of a completely different concept.
