Family house, Kramolna

Family house, Kramolna
Project:2007 - 2008
Completion:2008 - 2012

A modern family residence designed by David Chmelař, which, through its refined division of volumes, provides users with ample privacy while simultaneously allowing for a smooth connection to the garden and unobstructed views of the distant surroundings.
In the design of this house, its plot played a significant role, from which, in good visibility, the beautiful Krkonoš Mountains with Sněžka can be seen, and on the opposite side, the Rozkoš reservoir near Česká Skalice. Therefore, the entire second floor is surrounded by a ribbon window, offering beautiful views of the open landscape.
The house intentionally mirrors the slope of the plot, thus resonating better with it. The ground floor of the house is created to form outdoor, semi-outdoor, and indoor spaces sheltered from the eyes of passersby.
