The calm residential district of Prague's Bubeneč is today among the sought-after residential areas of Prague. Perfect accessibility to services, infrastructure, and the genius loci of the entire district are the main benefits of this neighborhood.
Here, the client purchased an apartment in an apartment building, which underwent a complete renovation under our guidance.
And because he is an art lover, we wanted to bring the beauty of old landscape paintings, which the client collects, into the present day and connect it with the interior of the original apartment and the new design part of the kitchen. The apartment was in a deplorable state, and most of the originally historical details had been destroyed. The first step was to restore these historical parts /cornices, friezes, rosettes, parquet floors/ and to complement them with entirely new modern elements such as the kitchen unit.
The main living space is dominated by a crystal chandelier mounted in a rosette, referencing the interwar history of the building. The minimalist design of the kitchen unit contrasts with a large-format print on glass that features a reproduction of the client's favorite landscape painting. The entire interior is set in soft shades of white and a few complementary pastel tones.
