The apartment in Pohořelec is intended for long-term rentals. It is located on the second floor of a residential building from the early 19th century. The interior design consists of minor structural modifications to the original layout and, above all, the design of built-in furniture. Given the total area of the apartment of only 57 square meters, we combined the functions of the hallway with technical facilities for the boiler, washing machine, and a large wardrobe into a continuous wall of cabinets; this storage space seamlessly transitions from the hallway into the kitchen, where it again consolidates all the built-in kitchen appliances and also offers ample space for storing dishes and food. The structure of the green mosaic from the bathroom with a shower transitions similarly to the built-in wall opposite, through the hallway to the oak countertop in the kitchen area. The kitchen is connected to the main living room by a wide portal, through which also passes a console with an oak table top levitating over the dark floor. The living space offers a view through a wide opening into the bedroom area with a small workspace separated by a paper sliding wall. All doors in the apartment are sliding with hidden suspended fittings in the ceiling. An original element of the interior is the LA1GHT pendant light made from wire mesh and the lighting above the dining table, which was created in the creative workshop of our studio, as well as three paintings connecting the entire interior with a common motif of pink horizons. The color scheme of the apartment is styled in white with contrasting dark floors and green mosaic. As part of the renovation, all installations were newly addressed, and there was also a complete replacement of window fillings and entrance doors.
