The architectural solution of the extension is based on the context of the site and the operational requirements of the investor. The mass of the new building is single-story with a slightly sloped roof. The lowest part of the building adjoins the gap parallel to the retaining wall on the eastern side of the property. The western side of the extension is open towards the garden, emphasized by an arcade. The arcade also provides a gentle transition from the glassed-in part of the playrooms and bedrooms to the garden. Given the gently sloping terrain of the property in the northwest part, the smooth height transition between the entrance loggia, the arcade, and the garden is leveled with grassed steps. The playrooms and their facilities comprise a built-in block inserted into the outer shell of the surrounding wall. The outer walls are structured with vertical window openings, glass walls, or completely perforated by the entrance loggia and the arcade.
The interior features hallway, playroom, and locker room floors made of monochrome linoleum. The washrooms and toilets are tiled with white ceramic tiles. The walls and ceilings are coated with a thin-layer plaster. The walls of the built-in block are covered with panels or built-in furniture, all finished with a gray-toned topcoat. Doors and windows will be made from euro profiles and painted with a topcoat in the same shade as the walls.
The exterior wall is clad with vertical wooden spruce panels. The facade of the playrooms features euro windows and paneling finished with a gray-toned topcoat.
The overall operational and spatial solution is based on connecting the reconstructed existing building with the extension of two departments. Simultaneously, a separate entrance to the new building and direct access to the garden are enabled. The entrance loggia is followed by a foyer and a facilities block – employee and children's lockers, children's washrooms. At the center of the layout is a hall, from which the existing building and the playrooms are accessible via a corridor and a glassed-in neck.
